Both are an essential part of the piglet’s life yet to come and its ability to cope with challenges throughout its life.
The start of life for a piglet can be positively and negatively influenced by a lot of factors. Sow health and milk quality, mode of delivery, stress caused by handling procedures are just a few examples. Inflammation, dysbiosis (gut microbiome out of balance) and leaky gut can be some of the consequences which can hamper a piglets health and productivity.
